On Thursday, May 11, group 8 from primary school ‘de Doorbraak’ from Warmenhuizen came to visit Bemo Rail for a guided tour. In the context of the project ‘Cool occupations’ the children where at the right place and they were welcomed enthusiastically.
Classed in groups, they took a look everywhere. From the drawing room, including the locomotives in 3D sketches, to seeing the ‘cool’ end products in the workshop. It was clearly a positive impression, because the kids wanted all to come to work at Bemo Rail when ‘they would be grown up.” A greater compliment we could not get … mission accomplished!
Last week Bemo Rail spent 3 days at the exhibition “RailTech” in Utrecht. Our booth but especially our brand new locomotive, BRD100 for Yara Sluiskil, enormously attracted attention. Interested people could enjoy themselves and see the locomotive from the outside and from the inside.
We would like to thank everyone who came to visit us! If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. Our data can be found under ‘Contact’.
Bemo Rail is busy with the construction of a locomotive for customer Yara Sluiskil. This brand new built loc BRD100 concerns a two-axle locomotive of 40 tons.
From 28 – 30 March we make it possible for visitors to view the locomotive during the RailTech event in Utrecht. Bemo Rail mans a booth in Hall 3, number 3253.
In early November, our new machining centre was delivered. It is a machine for making sole plates and processing (drilling and milling) of track with a length of no less than 12 meters! Also shunting components can be edited with it. The machine will be installed in the coming weeks before it can be put into use.
After many months of intensive work, the four-axle diesel locomotive type BRD150 has today left the Bemo area. Largely sealed in order to prevent damage, the locomotive is brought under escort convoi to Antwerp. From there the locomotive will be 4 to 5 weeks per ship en route to Dubai, with the ultimate destination Isfahan – Iran.
